Watch the Transportation Shift Webinar

On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, Transportation Shift partners shared insights from their community conversations on local transportation issues and the transition to electric vehicles. The webinar provides a frank look into how a transition to electric vehicles is landing in communities across Canada and the realities of transportation for community members.


Erika De Torres (Quebec) is the Director of Impact and Development at Apathy is Boring. Apathy is Boring is a charitable organization that supports and educates youth to be active and contributing citizens in Canada’s democracy.

Dan Meades (Newfoundland and Labrador) is the provincial coordinator of the Transition House Association of Newfoundland and Labrador. A long-time anti-poverty advocate whose work has led him across Canada, the United States, and much of West Africa, Dan cares about helping to create more fair and inclusive communities. 

Victoria Perron (Nunavut) is the Administrator at Amautiit Nunavut Inuit Women’s Association. Amautiit is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing self-determination for Nunavut Arnait [Inuit women] in all areas of life. She has lived and worked in Nunavut for over twelve years and comes from a background of recreation and event management. 

Vincent Ret (Northwest Territories) is the Recreation Coordinator with Homebase Yellowknife. HBY Provides housing and support to youth in Yellowknife in order for them to achieve life-long success. 

Josh Brandon (Manitoba) is a community animator at the Social Planning Council of Winnipeg (SPCW). SPCW is one of the oldest social justice organizations in Canada. It focuses on change rather than charity to achieve the vision of a sustainable community that is caring, just and equitable.
